In a remarkable display of devotion, over 90,000 pilgrims have made their way to Kedarnath Dham in the first three days since its doors reopened this season. The temple, situated in the Himalayas, saw an overwhelming turnout as devotees flocked to perform 'darshan' at the sacred site.
Local authorities, led by Rudraprayag Superintendent of Police Niharika Tomar, reported that the initial days witnessed fervent enthusiasm among the pilgrims. On the first day alone, 38,000 visitors arrived, followed by 25,000 on the second day, and over 30,000 on the third. To ensure safety and order, extensive security measures have been implemented.
Central paramilitary forces, alongside police personnel, have been deployed to manage the crowd, supported by teams from the fire service, SDRF, and NDRF, ready to handle any emergencies. District officials, including District Magistrate Vishal Mishra, have been active in overseeing the temple premises, urging pilgrims to rely on official communication channels for updates.
