Legacy of Wisdom: Remembering Muni Narayana Prasad

Muni Narayana Prasad, the eminent philosopher and spiritual leader at Narayana Gurukula, has passed away at the age of 87. Prasad died early Saturday while receiving treatment for a brief illness at a hospital near Venjaramoodu, according to sources from the Gurukula, a respected philosophical organization.

Renowned for his extensive work in literature and philosophy, Prasad achieved accolades such as the Padma Shri in 2024 and the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award. Originally an engineering graduate, he shifted to spiritual endeavors, eventually leading the Gurukula after the previous head's passing, continuing to spread the teachings of Sree Narayana Guru.

His death has been widely mourned by many, including Kerala's Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who praised Prasad's ability to convey profound philosophical concepts with clarity. Vijayan highlighted his contributions to promoting equality and humanism, noting the significant impact Prasad had on society's intellectual landscape.
