He underscored that his admiration for Shivaji Maharaj, inspired by the concept of Hindvi Swaraj, remains unwavering. Meanwhile, Sambhajiraje Chhatrapati criticized Shastri's historical narrative as fabricated, urging the Maharashtra government to ban his events.

The incident has garnered political attention, with Maharashtra Congress president Harshwardhan Sapkal accusing Shastri's remarks of reflecting BJP's alleged distortion of history.
