Tragedy at Thrissur: Mundathikode Fireworks Explosion Claims Another Life

On Sunday, the death toll from the Mundathikode fireworks explosion increased, as a victim died at Thrissur Medical College. The deceased, Unnikrishnan from Edappal, succumbed to severe burn injuries sustained in the tragic event.
The explosion, which occurred on April 21 at the manufacturing unit for the Thrissur Pooram festivities, has claimed 16 lives to date. Of the 38 present on-site, four remain missing, while the condition of two injured individuals is critical.
Authorities are investigating the incident, examining safety measures and operational protocols. Meanwhile, the community mourns the immense loss during what should have been a festive occasion.
