Kareena Kapoor Reacts to High Court Ruling in Family Estate Battle
Kareena Kapoor expressed satisfaction after the Delhi High Court's interim injunction in her family’s estate dispute over Sanjay Kapur's assets. The court order involves asset preservation and addresses concerns raised by the late industrialist's children against Priya Kapur, the will's sole beneficiary.
Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor expressed her contentment following a significant interim injunction issued by the Delhi High Court concerning a longstanding legal dispute over the assets of her late brother-in-law, Sanjay Kapur. The legal action was initiated by the children from Kapur's previous marriage to actress Karisma Kapoor, questioning the legitimacy of his will.
In a notable judgment, the High Court granted the injunction plea filed by Kapur's children, effectively preventing the establishment of third-party rights regarding the contested assets. The court also placed a hold on foreign bank accounts and cryptocurrency holdings linked to the estate, addressing concerns about suspicious circumstances surrounding the will.
The case, marked by assertions of dubious elements within the will's formation, continues with Priya Kapur, the sole beneficiary, tasked with addressing the court's concerns. As the dispute over the Rs 30,000 crore estate unfolds, the court's interim order aims to safeguard the assets until the conclusion of the trial.
