Naga Unity in Tradition: A Renewed Vision for Peace

Nagaland's Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio emphasized the importance of preserving cultural traditions and fostering unity among tribes during a public event on Saturday. In a speech marking the 25th anniversary of the Runa Khrietho-Maong Aksu brotherhood, Rio urged the public to maintain peace and cohesion across the state.

The event, attended by former Chief Minister S C Jamir, brought together community leaders and signaled the significance of overcoming rising tribalism and factionalism in Nagaland. Jamir urged a renewal of shared vision for a prosperous and peaceful society amidst the challenges of materialism and disunity.

In a symbolic move, Ungma Village donated land to three significant organizations, emphasizing commitment to unity. As part of the programme, the villages renewed their pledge to foster friendship, illustrating a hopeful step towards sustaining peace and promoting cultural heritage among Nagas.
