Prime Video has announced that Vijay Verma's highly-acclaimed series 'Matka King' will return for a second season. The announcement was made via a statement on Instagram, sparking excitement among fans of the show.
Created and directed by Nagraj Popatrao Manjule, known for the hit film 'Sairat', the series first premiered on the OTT platform last month. Set in the evolving landscape of 1960s Bombay, the drama follows Brij Bhatti, an ambitious cotton trader played by Verma, who revolutionizes gambling across India with his creation of the 'Matka' system.
The series is a collaborative effort, with co-creator and writer Abhay Koranne and producers Siddharth Roy Kapur, Manjule, Gargi Kulkarni, Ashwini Sidwani, and Ashish Aryan at the helm. Viewers can expect compelling performances from a cast that includes Kritika Kamra, Sai Tamhankar, Siddharth Jadhav, Bhupendra Jadawat, and Gulshan Grover.
