Fast & Furious Expands: Four New TV Series to Thrill Fans
Vin Diesel announced the development of four new TV series based on the 'Fast & Furious' franchise. Upcoming features include a roller coaster and a classic status recognition at the Cannes Film Festival. Diesel credits NBCUniversal's Donna Langley for maintaining the franchise's integrity as it transitions to television.
Four original television series inspired by the popular "Fast & Furious" franchise are in the works, Vin Diesel announced Monday. The star shared the news at NBCUniversal's event in New York City's Radio City Music Hall, alongside "Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon.
Diesel, initially reluctant to participate in sequels, feared they might overshadow the original film's classic status. However, the Cannes Film Festival will celebrate the franchise's 25th anniversary this Wednesday with a special midnight screening, marking it as a cinematic classic. Diesel is set to attend alongside several co-stars.
Beyond the screen, "Fast & Furious" fans can look forward to new attractions, including a roller coaster at Universal Studios Hollywood and another in Orlando. "Fans want more," Diesel said, emphasizing the desire for the continuation of beloved storylines. He praised NBCUniversal's Donna Langley for her role in upholding the franchise's standards in television.
