Catholic Bishops Urge Peace Amid Manipur Unrest

The Catholic Bishops' Conference of India has condemned the recent attack on Baptist church leaders in Manipur's Kangpokpi district, describing it as a 'heinous act.'

In a heartfelt statement, the CBCI reflected on the loss of innocent lives and the injuries sustained in the ambush on May 13, orchestrated against the Thadou Baptist Association leaders.

Appealing for peace, the bishops urged communities to shun violence, opting instead for dialogue and reconciliation. They called on authorities to ensure justice and restore confidence within the communities, emphasizing prayerful solidarity with the victims' families.
