The sacred Piprahwa relics of Lord Buddha were given an emotional farewell at Leh Airport, marking the end of a significant 14-day exposition in Ladakh. The event attracted over 118,000 devotees, making it one of the largest spiritual gatherings in the region.

Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena, who attended the farewell ceremony, noted that the relics had transformed Ladakh into a center of prayer and compassion. People from all walks of life participated in bidding farewell to the holy relics, which had been on display since April 29, following an inauguration by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

During the exposition, various dignitaries, including Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu and ambassadors from Sri Lanka and Thailand, graced the event. The grand gathering concluded with the Monlam Chenmo festival, promoting world peace and universal happiness.
