Scindia's Sikkim Visit: A Leap towards Northeastern Development

Union Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia has embarked on a comprehensive three-day tour of Sikkim, focusing on education, tourism, and sports development. During his visit, Scindia emphasized the importance of sustainable development while reviewing several key projects and facilities in Namchi district.

Scindia's itinerary included a visit to Sikkim State University, where he assessed infrastructure initiatives sponsored by the North Eastern Council. The minister spotlighted the need for maintaining natural greenery on campus. Additionally, he interacted with local workers at Temi Tea Estate, showcasing the region's tea production capabilities.

In further engagements, Scindia explored adventure tourism offerings at the Indian Himalayan Centre and attended a local football match, underscoring the Ministry of DoNER's role in fostering athletic talent. His tour also included a review of the ambitious Bhaley Dhunga Skywalk project, set to become the tallest of its kind globally.
