The plot centers on two FBI agents tasked with investigating a murder in the world's most secure prison facility. Smith will portray Rex, one of the key figures in this intense storyline, as reported by Variety.
Screenwriters David Weil and David J Rosen are also executive producers, with production by Alex Heineman, Andrew Rona, and Smith himself through his company, Westbrook. Apart from 'Supermax', Smith is set to appear in 'Sugar Bandits', about a veteran tackling the drug trade in Boston.
