Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday laid the foundation stone for development works worth about Rs 100 crores at Lord Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Yadagirigutta in Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district.
Reddy, accompanied by several ministers and other leaders, had darshan of the presiding deity.
The foundation stone was laid for development works, including the construction of a 'Veda Pathasala', a Kalyana Mandapam for daily celestial wedding of the deity, a roof for the pathway of steps, dormitory halls and other facilities for devotees, an official release said.
Kanchi Math pontiff Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swami participated in the 'Bhumi Puja' for 'Veda Pathasala'.
