Over 300 tourists found themselves stranded mid-air in the Gulmarg Gondola cable car after a significant technical issue brought Asia's highest ropeway to a halt. The incident caused panic among the holidaymakers, who were later rescued.
A comprehensive, multi-agency rescue operation took seven hours to safely evacuate all passengers, according to officials. The tourists were trapped in cabins suspended nearly 500 feet above the ground.
