Gupta believes this plan would enhance the state's spiritual identity, create jobs, boost the economy, and preserve rich cultural heritage. He discussed this vision following his visit to the Maa Jawala Devi Temple in Kangra, noting the state's array of renowned spiritual sites.
He stressed the importance of integrating these destinations into a cohesive circuit to facilitate a global pilgrimage influx. According to him, religious tourism could significantly contribute to the state's economy.
