Mumbai's Anti-Narcotics Cell dealt a major blow to illegal drug operations by dismantling a secretive mephedrone production facility situated in Agripada. The operation yielded more than 14 kg of drugs, which officials estimate could fetch Rs 50.74 crore in the illicit market.

During their raid on Monday at a rented location, the Kandivali Unit of the Anti-Narcotics Cell seized a makeshift firearm and nineteen live rounds of ammunition. The confiscated items included 6.188 kg of mephedrone valued around Rs 21.65 crore, and 8.305 kg of liquid MD along with necessary chemicals valued at Rs 29.08 crore. Authorities have filed charges under multiple sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and the Arms Act.

Following these arrests, a thorough investigation is in progress as officials aim to crack down on the broader network associated with this operation.
