Eid-ul-Azha Celebrated with Large Gatherings Across Jammu and Kashmir

In Jammu and Kashmir, Eid-ul-Azha was joyfully observed, with Muslims gathering in significant numbers to offer prayers at mosques and eidgahs under substantial security measures. The festival commemorates the sacrifice and devotion of Prophet Ibrahim and is celebrated with fervor.
The largest gatherings occurred at the Eidgah on Residency Road in Jammu, along with substantial turnouts at Mecca Masjid Bathindi and Jamia Masjid Talab Khatikan, where early morning prayers drew large numbers of devotees. Following the prayers, participants engaged in the ritual animal sacrifices of sheep, goats, and cattle, symbolising faith and submission.
Religious figures, including Mufti Inayatullah Qasmi, sent messages of goodwill, emphasizing themes of peace and prosperity for both the region and the world. Qasmi shared Eid greetings, highlighting the unity and devotion displayed during the celebrations across Jammu and Kashmir.
Security forces maintained stringent vigilance to ensure the celebrations proceeded peacefully without incident. This ensured a tranquil environment for the community to observe this significant occasion.
