Kashmir marked Eid-ul-Azha with widespread devotion as thousands of faithful gathered at various mosques, eidgahs, and shrines on Wednesday. The focal point of the celebration was the Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar, which saw a congregation of over 60,000 people, including Omar Abdullah and other notable leaders, who joined the prayers.

While other smaller gatherings were noted throughout the valley, there were restrictions at the historic Jamia Masjid and the Eidgah grounds in the old city area. Despite these limitations, communities came together to uphold the spirit of the festival, with traditional sacrifices being performed across the region.

Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, through a message on social media, extended warm greetings and highlighted the significance of the occasion as a reminder of love, compassion, and forgiveness. Similarly, Omar Abdullah conveyed his wishes for peace and prosperity, urging for stronger bonds among people. The day concluded peacefully with no untoward incidents reported, as confirmed by authorities.
