Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is scheduled to preside over a critical security review meeting today in Mumbai at his official residence, Varsha Bungalow. Senior police and administrative officials are expected to participate to assess the current security landscape.

Simultaneously, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma chaired a strategic meeting on Friday to evaluate and augment security across the state with an emphasis on border districts. The action was prompted by the recent interception of Pakistani drones by Indian air defense in Jaisalmer.

Explosions and sky flashes have been reported, leading to enforced blackouts in regions including Bikaner, Punjab, and Jammu. Sharma called for heightened alertness and instructed officials to cancel government employees' leave, ensuring operational readiness at headquarters. Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot urged public composure and solidarity with armed forces, stressing that the nation stands united against terrorism.
