India has been commended by a global forum for its advancements in the renewable energy sector, distinguishing itself as a leader in Asia's energy transition. The forum recognized India's dedication to its climate goals, particularly in expanding solar energy efforts.

Helen Clarkson, CEO of the Climate Group, underscored India's achievements during the Climate Group Asia Action Summit in Singapore. She noted the significant 220 GW renewable energy capacity, with solar energy comprising nearly half of this figure.
