Leading the DGMO-level discussions, Defence Expert Sanjeev Srivastava labeled the upcoming meeting as crucial. He pointed out that the focus would be on making the current understanding between India and Pakistan permanent, aiming to prevent Pakistan from taking any further provocative actions.
Recent discussions initiated by Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, the Director General Military Operations, reportedly succeeded in a temporary cessation of hostilities.
