Ayodhya found relief on Monday as light rain accompanied by gusty winds swept through, alleviating the oppressive heatwave conditions that had gripped the region. The short but impactful showers, along with thunderstorms, lowered the sweltering temperatures and made for more favorable weather, offering a much-needed respite for the residents.

Similarly, Delhi experienced rainfall on Sunday, momentarily breaking the intense heat. The precipitation led to cooler temperatures and a perceptible improvement in the national capital's air quality. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a caution for severe thunderstorms and strong winds, advising Delhi's residents to take shelter indoors.

In Kerala, schools and various educational institutions have been closed in several districts due to ongoing heavy rainfall and a red alert from the IMD. Kozhikode's collector announced the closure in light of continuous deluge, emphasizing public safety against potential hazards like landslides.

Authorities are urging the public to stay vigilant, especially in at-risk areas prone to landslides and flooding. The State Disaster Management Authority has recommended avoiding unnecessary travel and following local safety guidelines. The IMD predicts heavy to very heavy rainfall in Kerala and Lakshadweep this week, raising concerns of further disruptions.
