The Reserve Bank has given the green light for extending Sandeep Batra's tenure as the Executive Director of ICICI Bank by another two years. This decision, announced in a letter dated June 16, 2025, means Batra's re-appointment will be effective from December 23, 2025, to December 22, 2027.
As outlined in a regulatory filing by ICICI Bank, the necessary shareholder approval for this re-appointment will be sought in due course. Batra has helmed the Corporate Centre since July 2018, with a portfolio that includes Corporate Communications, Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Customer Service, and Secretarial Groups.
According to the bank's annual report for FY24, Batra is also tasked with administrative responsibilities over risk management, internal audits, and compliance groups. His leadership in these areas has been pivotal, impacting the bank's operations and governance.
