Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Nityanand Rai, sharply criticized RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav on Tuesday, accusing him of disrespecting Dr. BR Ambedkar during his birthday celebrations. Rai argued that RJD's actions were an attempt to cover up what he described as a 'grave sin' by justifying the act rather than apologizing.
Rai detailed the incident, stating, "Lalu Prasad Yadav insulted Baba Sahab's picture by placing it at his feet, a move that has been widely condemned across the nation. Instead of showing remorse, both Lalu Yadav and former Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav have displayed arrogance." He went on to accuse Congress of consistently insulting Dr. Ambedkar, highlighting a lack of his images in the Central Hall of Parliament.
Accusations continued with Rai claiming RJD leverages Dr. Ambedkar's legacy only for political gains. He pointed at former Deputy CM Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, alleging he practices corruption, nepotism, and supports "jungle raj." Rai expressed confidence that the people of Bihar are not deceived by RJD's actions, understanding the reality of the Lalu family.
