In the wake of escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, Shia cleric Maulana Saif Abbas has made an urgent plea to the Indian government for the evacuation of Indian pilgrims trapped in Iran and Iraq. Speaking to ANI, Abbas highlighted that these pilgrims visit religious sites in lieu of the unaffordable Hajj pilgrimage and are now caught in a volatile situation.
The conflict has reached its fifth day, marked by missile exchanges between the two nations. According to CNN, the violence has resulted in the deaths of 224 individuals in Iran and 24 in Israel. Moreover, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) announced the elimination of Iran's top military strategist, Ali Shadmani, in a targeted airstrike in Tehran.
The IDF confirmed the ongoing military operations against Iranian proxies, including an advance to reveal underground Hamas networks in Khan Yunis. In a bold move, Israel poured concrete into tunnels to obstruct these operations. Meanwhile, Israel launched 'Operation Rising Lion' in response to Iran's aggressive missile assaults on Israeli cities.
