Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal attended the prayer meeting for the late Vijay Rupani, former Chief Minister of Gujarat, in Rajkot on Tuesday. Rupani was one of the victims in the devastating Air India crash that claimed over 241 lives, leaving the nation in shock.
After paying his respects, Kejriwal addressed the media, articulating his deep sadness over the tragedy. He conveyed his condolences to Rupani's wife and family, praying for the former leader's soul to find peace. Rupani's funeral rites were performed on Monday with full state honors, led by his son, Rushabh Rupani.
Prominent political figures, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat, and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, joined the funeral ceremony to bid farewell to Rupani. The procession through Rajkot, complete with a police guard of honor and a 21-gun salute, underscored the esteemed stature of Rupani.
