Congress leader Sonia Gandhi is in stable condition as she undergoes treatment for a stomach infection at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi. The hospital revealed on Thursday that Gandhi, 78, is being closely monitored and is showing positive signs of recovery.
A medical team, including Dr. S Nundy and Dr. Amitabh Yadav, under the guidance of Dr. Ajay Swaroop, has introduced a new diet plan as part of her treatment regimen. 'Sonia Gandhi is responding positively to treatment,' stated Dr. Swaroop. 'Her health is stable, and she remains under close observation.'
The discharge date for the Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson is yet to be confirmed and will depend on her progress. Gandhi was admitted to the hospital on June 15 due to stomach-related issues and had previously visited Indira Gandhi Medical College in Shimla for routine check-ups earlier this month.
