As polling began at 7 am across several key constituencies, voter turnout witnessed significant variation by 9 am. Nilambur led with 13.15%, while Visavadar recorded 12.10%. Other regions like Kaliganj saw 10.83%, Kadi 9.05%, and Ludhiana West at 8.50%, according to the Election Commission of India.

The results of these crucial by-elections, spanning states including Kerala, Punjab, West Bengal, and Gujarat, will be unveiled on June 23. The Left Democratic Front has placed its faith in M Swaraj for Nilambur, while Aryadan Shoukath represents the United Democratic Front. The BJP has entrusted Adv. Mohan George to contest from the same constituency.

Triggered by the resignation and parties' internal shifts, these by-elections feature closely watched contests such as in Ludhiana, where the BJP has fielded Jiwan Gupta against Aam Aadmi Party's Sanjeev Arora following their MLA's tragic departure. The dynamic race continues with candidates vying for voter support across India.
