Indian students evacuated from the conflict-hit Iran have expressed gratitude to the central government for their smooth rescue operation but lamented the poor condition of buses arranged by the Jammu and Kashmir government for their journey from Delhi to their hometowns.
Despite commendable efforts by the central authorities that made the evacuation process seamless, students voiced concerns over the transportation provided by the J&K administration. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, acknowledging these grievances, tasked the Resident Commissioner to ensure better travel arrangements.
Operation Sindhu, launched to extract nationals from the war-torn region, is praised for its efficiency. Yet, students remain apprehensive about their studies and the adverse conditions they face, appealing for more humane means of transit as they return to a fragile status quo at home.
