Amid escalating tensions in West Asia, Adani Enterprises Director Pranav Adani confirmed the security of the group's international assets, alleviating some concerns. "There are worries, but fortunately, our overseas holdings are secure," Adani stated to reporters at the Chintan Research Foundation's foundation day celebration.
His comments come as global markets react to the intensifying geopolitical crisis in the Middle East, where Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone marked its seventh consecutive session of decline, dropping 2.5% to Rs 1,338. Among pressing issues is the Adani Group's recently acquired Haifa Port in Israel, a pivotal business asset operating amid rising regional conflict, particularly with apprehensions about a potential escalation between Israel and Iran.
Addressing the media, Pranav Adani highlighted the Chintan Research Foundation's primary focus areas: climate change, geopolitical challenges, and economic strategies. "Evidence-based research carries numerous responsibilities, and these three areas will be our initial focus," he noted. Emphasizing inclusive growth beyond India's metropolitan areas, he stated, "True growth happens in places like Ranchi, Raipur, Bhubaneswar, and the Northeast." CRF President Shishir Priyadarshi shared the foundation's commitment to zero-emission objectives, promoting prosperity, and championing the Global South's rise. "The hardest truths lead to the most fruitful outcomes," he declared.
