"I spoke a short time ago with the Norwegian ambassador to Israel, Per Egil Selvaag, in whose yard a grenade was thrown this evening," Saar announced on X. He firmly condemned the dreadful and risky act, emphasizing its gravity. The Israeli Foreign Ministry has yet to respond to queries for further comments.
Meanwhile, in Oslo, the Norwegian Foreign Ministry confirmed the explosion at the ambassador's residence. An email statement assured that no embassy staff were harmed. Israeli police stated that only 'light property damage was sustained' and have initiated an investigation to determine the cause and responsible parties.
