Jammu and Kashmir's Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, has laid out a bold vision to transform Jammu into a prime destination for religious tourism, a move he believes will significantly improve the local economy and community life.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Government Degree College Purmandal's new complex, Abdullah reiterated his commitment to evolving the tourism sector while addressing various educational and infrastructural concerns. He expressed gratitude towards PM Modi and Minister Jaishankar for their efforts in securing student safety abroad.
The Chief Minister emphasized the essential roles of health and education in society's development, stressing the need for skill training and educational advancement to combat unemployment. Abdullah also announced improvements in government schooling and expressed hope for the emergence of Jammu's educational institutions as leading centers in the region.
