Tensions Rise: Iran's New Uranium Enrichment Facility at Isfahan Targeted

The chief of the U.N. nuclear watchdog, Rafael Grossi, pointed to Isfahan as the site of a new uranium enrichment plant in Iran, which was announced in retaliation against diplomatic actions taken by other nations.

Before Israel's military operations targeting Iranian nuclear sites, Iran declared its intent to equip a new enrichment facility, although specific location details were withheld. This move was in response to a resolution from the International Atomic Energy Agency's Board of Governors, which accused Tehran of breaching non-proliferation duties.
