On Friday, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated the three-day State-level Shoolini Fair in Solan, as announced in an official release. The fair is a dynamic celebration of faith, honoring Goddess Shoolini with vibrant festivities.

The historic event marks the symbolic journey of Goddess Shoolini to the temple of her elder sister, Goddess Durga, located in Solan's Ganj Bazaar. A key highlight, the deity's palanquin procession attracted thousands of devotees who thronged the streets of Solan, seeking blessings and participating in the colorful festivities. The Chief Minister actively took part, offering prayers for peace and prosperity and joining in the Shobha Yatra. In a gesture of reverence, he also showered flowers upon the palanquin.

Additionally, the Chief Minister released a commemorative souvenir for the event, produced by the Mela Committee. Prominent attendees included Deputy Commissioner and Mela Committee Chairperson Manmohan Sharma, Health Minister Dr. Dhani Ram Shandil, and several other political and community leaders, contributing to the event's success and the community spirit in Solan.
