During the 11th International Yoga Day, Haryana leaders, including Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, joined forces with Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev in Kurukshetra to promote yoga's benefits. Saini introduced a unique initiative: a five-minute pause in all state offices aimed at reducing stress and rejuvenating employees' energies.
Saini revealed plans to extend this concept to the private sector while emphasizing the government's commitment to combat drug abuse through events like cyclothons and marathons. He noted, 'Through these efforts, we aim to make panchayats drug-free, encouraging sarpanches with incentives to maintain their villages' sobriety.'
Yoga Guru Ramdev lauded these efforts, stating that yoga's integration into daily life aligns with Prime Minister Modi's vision for India's development by 2047. Highlighting its growing popularity, he urged everyone to practice yoga daily for holistic wellness. The day's theme, 'Yoga for One Earth, One Health,' underscored this vision, focusing on the interconnectedness of human and planetary health.
