Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the 11th International Day of Yoga, noting the widespread enthusiasm for the practice. Mr. Sarma emphasized yoga's calming effects and its historical roots while celebrating the event in Baksa. He commended Modi for transforming yoga into a global phenomenon.

In a post shared on social media platform X, the Chief Minister underscored the rejuvenating benefits of yoga, thanking Modi for initiating its global movement. This marks the 11th year of International Yoga Day, reflecting its growing importance worldwide.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also conveyed his greetings, highlighting yoga's scientific significance and adoption as a daily routine globally. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh celebrated the day in Udhampur, lauding the Indian Army and their efforts in Operation Sindoor. Meanwhile, PM Modi called for the global embrace of yoga, promoting inner peace as a universal policy.
