NCC cadets and officials from Manipur's 1(M) Air Squadron gathered at the Marjing Polo Statue to participate in a yoga session, part of a nationwide initiative to promote healthy lifestyles through yoga. The event, graced by an aerial view of participants, showcased students performing various yoga poses, including Dandasana and Virasana.

A student participant noted the completion of at least 10 distinct yoga hand placements and expressed happiness that rain did not disrupt the session. The cadet highlighted the flexibility benefits from yoga, stating that the practice had grown easier with consistent effort.

In tandem with the local event, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma praised the widespread enthusiasm for yoga during International Yoga Day celebrations, thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for elevating yoga into a global phenomenon. PM Modi, speaking at a celebration in Visakhapatnam, encouraged global adoption of yoga for collective well-being and unity.

Assam's yoga celebrations featured an impressive setting along Visakhapatnam's coast, backed by stationed Indian Navy ships, capturing the grandeur of the occasion. With significant participation from yoga enthusiasts and dignitaries alike, the event highlighted yoga's importance as both a traditional and international practice.
