In a robust display of dedication to physical and mental well-being, Border Security Forces (BSF) personnel commemorated International Yoga Day with exuberant yoga sessions in Siliguri on Saturday. Highlighting the occasion, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) BSF Chiter Pal emphasized the significance of incorporating yoga into everyday routines to enhance physical and mental health.

'Yoga is crucial for attaining both physical and mental balance, providing inner peace,' Pal stated. 'Our troops regularly engage in physical exercise, yet integrating yoga as a routine practice is beneficial for all.' Highlighting the celebration of the 11th International Yoga Day, Pal mentioned the strategic direction offered by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the directives from their Director General, which facilitated the organization of the event.

Meanwhile, the Indian Army extended the yoga fervor to the world's highest battlefield in Siachen. Soldiers, veterans, families, and children enthusiastically participated, embodying the theme 'Yoga for One Earth, One Health.' Complementing these efforts, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) conducted yoga sessions by the serene Pangong Tso banks and high-altitude outposts. These sessions, shared on X, emphasized wellness and discipline as part of the International Yoga Day celebrations.
