Inmates at Indore Central Jail came together on a significant occasion, performing yoga as part of the 11th International Yoga Day celebrations on Saturday. Central Jail Superintendent Alka Sonkar explained that the event was organized to advance Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Yoga for One Earth, One Health.'
Speaking to the media, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav commemorated the day in Bhopal, expressing his heartfelt wishes for International Yoga Day. He emphasized its importance, noting that the celebration coincides with the year's longest day, while underscoring the world's growing awareness of India's ancient traditions and knowledge.
Yadav articulated, "As we mark International Yoga Day, our celebrations resonate both nationally and globally, thanks to Prime Minister Modi's initiatives. Our theme, 'Yoga for One Earth, One Health,' reflects a unique message of global well-being, spotlighting the interconnectedness of human and planetary health." The event saw widespread participation across India, uniting many under a common goal of health and harmony.
