On the 11th International Yoga Day, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended warm wishes to all and lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his role in elevating yoga's status on a global scale. Majhi commended the Prime Minister's unwavering efforts in making yoga a worldwide phenomenon.
In Gujarat's Vadnagar, a historic event unfolded as 2,121 individuals participated in a successful attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the most people simultaneously performing the yoga cobra pose. Participants impressively maintained the position for two minutes and nine seconds, far exceeding the one-minute requirement.
Richard Stunning, the official adjudicator for Guinness World Records, confirmed that the record-breaking attempt bypassed the minimum participant target of 250, with 2,185 initial participants. Despite discounting 64 individuals, the title was secured with 2,121 participants, marking a remarkable achievement and further highlighting the global appeal of yoga.
