Saluting Courage: Armed Forces Unite for International Day of Yoga 2025
Armed forces personnel marked International Day of Yoga 2025 with a special yoga session at the iconic Adiyogi statue in Coimbatore. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh led celebrations in Jammu and Kashmir, recognizing the bravery of the Indian Army. Yoga sessions were also held in diverse locations, including the Siachen Glacier.

Defence personnel gathered at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore on Saturday to mark International Day of Yoga 2025. The dedicated session, conducted by trained instructors, took place in front of the iconic Adiyogi statue and was attended by 200 armed forces personnel.
In a conversation with ANI, Jayant, a yoga instructor at the centre, remarked, 'Today is the International Day of Yoga. It's not new; since its launch, it has spread like wildfire. The world now knows the importance of yoga.' Highlighting the special event, he added, 'We just concluded a session for 200 armed forces personnel who have joined us from nearby bases.'
Earlier that day, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh led the 11th International Yoga Day celebrations in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir. He commended the army's bravery in Operation Sindoor, stating, 'Your bravery is widely admired across the nation. I salute the valour and courage of the Indian Army.' Additionally, the Indian Army facilitated a yoga session at the world's highest battlefield in Siachen. The event saw participation from soldiers, veterans, families, and children.
