Delhi's Kausar Jahan Joins Global Yoga Celebration, Applauds PM Modi

Kausar Jahan, Chairperson of the Delhi Haj Committee, participated in the 11th International Yoga Day celebrations in New Delhi on Saturday. She emphasized yoga's role in enhancing mental and physical wellness and commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his significant role in popularizing the ancient Indian practice globally.
Jahan noted that thanks to PM Modi's initiatives, the United Nations designated June 21 as International Yoga Day. She emphasized that yoga promotes balance and alleviates stress, offering a comprehensive approach to health. The Prime Minister led the main national event this year from Visakhapatnam, extending heartfelt greetings worldwide, underscoring the unifying nature of yoga.
Reflecting on yoga's global journey over the last decade, PM Modi recalled the pivotal moment when India introduced the concept of International Yoga Day at the UN, gaining support from 175 countries. This unique global unity represents a collective global effort for humanity's greater good. Meanwhile, a Guinness World Record was set in Vadnagar, Gujarat, as 2121 participants held the cobra pose for two minutes and nine seconds, surpassing the previous target.
