Shesh Paul Vaid, the former Director General of Police in Jammu and Kashmir, has cautioned against a significant escalation in global conflict, fearing that recent US military strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities could trigger World War III if Iran retaliates.

The strikes, involving US-exclusive B-2 bombers and bunker-buster bombs, targeted Iranian sites, leading to condemnation from Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who labeled the action a violation of international law and a breach of the UN Charter and Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Following the attacks, Iranian calls for a UN Security Council meeting intensified, with accusations of the US engaging in 'lawless behavior.' Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has threatened further military actions if Iran does not concede to a peace agreement, suggesting a tense international situation.
