Amid escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, Bihar BJP president Dilip Jaiswal on Monday spotlighted India's burgeoning global influence under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. This development comes in the wake of a telephonic conversation between Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and PM Modi following US military strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities.

Lauding Modi, Jaiswal emphasized India's role as a potential mediator, noting that it's a testament to India's standing that Iran reached out. He remarked, "The power of the new India is evident when Iran seeks our help to engage with Israel." PM Modi, during the call, expressed deep concern over the intensifying conflict, underscoring the vital importance of diplomacy and dialogue for ensuring long-term peace.

In a social media post, PM Modi reiterated the need for immediate de-escalation and maintained India's commitment to facilitating dialogue aimed at restoring regional stability. The conversation highlighted India's diplomatic leverage amid ongoing US-Iran tensions, particularly following President Trump's announcement of strategic strikes on Iranian nuclear sites.
