In a recent escalation of Middle Eastern tensions, the Communist Party of India (CPI) has united with other left-wing factions to denounce the United States' recent military strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities. The move has sparked calls from CPI's general secretary, D Raja, for India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene and mediate with his ally, U.S. President Donald Trump, to end the hostilities, which Raja deems a violation of the United Nations charter.

D Raja remarked that silence from PM Modi could undermine India's positional authority to oppose the ongoing U.S.-Israel conflict against Iran. He urged Modi to assert moral leadership and influence his friend, President Trump, to halt the military actions. Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts continue, as PM Modi recently discussed the security situation with Iran's President, underlining the crucial need for peace through dialogue and diplomacy.

Concurrently, President Trump, from the White House, announced the precision strikes targeting three underground nuclear sites in Iran, signaling a warning of heightened retaliations if peace isn't achieved. Iran's leadership condemned these acts as violations of international law while vowing to persist with their nuclear program despite international repercussions.
