A significant fire incident occurred at Ram Leela Maidan in Budaun, Uttar Pradesh, where an exhibition organized by the Nagar Palika was underway. The blaze, believed to have been triggered by a short circuit, engulfed 20 to 25 shops as local authorities launched a massive emergency response.
Fire tenders quickly reached the site, with firefighters putting in strenuous efforts to control the flames. SP City Vijendra Dwivedi confirmed that the fire broke out around 8:15 PM, attributing it to a potential short circuit, though the precise cause is still under investigation.
