A significant fire incident occurred at Ram Leela Maidan in Budaun, Uttar Pradesh, where an exhibition organized by the Nagar Palika was underway. The blaze, believed to have been triggered by a short circuit, engulfed 20 to 25 shops as local authorities launched a massive emergency response.

Fire tenders quickly reached the site, with firefighters putting in strenuous efforts to control the flames. Remarkably, no casualties have been reported, although the damage caused by the fire is still being estimated. SP City Vijendra Dwivedi confirmed that the fire broke out around 8:15 PM, attributing it to a potential short circuit, though the precise cause is still under investigation.

ADM Administration Arun Kumar, present at the scene, corroborated the unknown cause of the fire, emphasizing that electrical issues might be to blame. He highlighted the speedy actions by the fire brigade in bringing the fire under control, assuring that there was no loss of life while assessment of shopkeeper losses progresses.
