The Telangana government, heeding the directive of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, is actively involved in monitoring the ongoing Middle East crisis, offering crucial support to Telangana citizens returning from the affected areas. A recent statement revealed that the state, in a well-coordinated effort, ensured a safe passage for six Telangana students who arrived at New Delhi's Telangana Bhavan—four from Iran and two from Israel.
These students, who had pre-booked their onward flights to Hyderabad, were assisted until their departure by Telangana Bhavan staff at 5:30 AM. Officials prioritized their comfort and well-being throughout their stay in Delhi. Additionally, seven more Telangana citizens are anticipated to arrive in New Delhi tonight, having successfully traveled from Israel to Amman, Jordan, and are set to reach India soon. Plans are in place to welcome and support them at the airport and Telangana Bhavan.
Meanwhile, several Telangana residents remain stranded in Israel due to the temporary closure of Israeli airspace, causing delays. Despite these setbacks, the Telangana government remains committed to aiding all affected citizens through constant coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs, Indian Embassies, and relevant authorities. The Chief Minister has insisted that each Telangana resident arriving from the region is afforded timely assistance, proper shelter, and further travel support.
Officials urge citizens to keep in contact with trusted channels and refrain from unreliable information. The Telangana government pledges continued efforts for the safety and swift return of its people during this turbulent period. In a related event on June 21, the Delhi Airport resonated with patriotic chants as a flight arrived with 290 Indian nationals evacuated from Iran under Operation Sindhu.
Tazkiya Fatima, a Noida resident among the evacuees, described the tense conditions in Iran and commended the coordination by Indian authorities. 'The situation was tense, like a war zone. We weren't sure we'd make it out, but the Indian government facilitated everything smoothly. I'm grateful,' she said. (ANI)
