In a scathing rebuttal, Congress leader Pawan Khera denounced BJP MP Nishikant Dubey for his critical remarks about the Shimla Agreement signed by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Khera dismissed Dubey as a 'quack' and implored the media to disregard his statements.
Highlighting what he termed as flawed initiations against historical accords, Khera sarcastically reduced Dubey's understanding to that of a 'WhatsApp Nursery' level. Dubey had insinuated that Gandhi was coerced by the U.S. into the accord, which allegedly involved ceding 5000 square miles of Indian territory to Pakistan.
Dubey's recent critique extended to Rahul Gandhi over the Congress's stand on language promotion in education. He accused the Congress of hypocrisy, referencing the 1986 education policy under former PM Rajiv Gandhi that supported regional languages alongside English—a policy echoed by PM Modi's 2020 reforms.
