The Meteorological Centre in Jaipur has issued a significant warning with an orange alert for several eastern districts of Rajasthan, anticipating severe weather conditions marked by heavy rainfall over the next day. Radheshyam Sharma, Director of the Met Centre, clarified that this weather pattern is the result of a cyclonic circulation situated over western Uttar Pradesh, which is causing moderate to heavy rains across the region.

Reports from these areas indicate already substantial rainfall, with some locations like Baran district receiving up to 190 millimetres. The Kota division, including districts such as Baran, Kota, Bundi, and Jhalawar, is under particular scrutiny, with anticipated precipitation levels potentially exceeding 200 millimetres in the next 24 hours. Sharma highlighted the ongoing threat of thunderstorms as the weather system continues to affect eastern Rajasthan.

Apart from the heavy rainfall expected in Jaipur, Udaipur, and Bharatpur divisions, the India Meteorological Department predicts the southwest monsoon's advancement into additional northern territories like Delhi and Haryana over the coming days, suggesting favorable conditions for its further progression. Meanwhile, in the Northeast, heavy rains are forecast to continue, prompting yellow alerts in Delhi-NCR, including Gurugram and Faridabad, which predict light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds.
