Gentari Powers Up: Maharashtra's Largest Solar Plant Unveiled

On Monday, Gentari, a leading clean energy solutions company, announced the commissioning of a 150 MW open-access solar plant in Wardha, Maharashtra. This new facility ranks among the largest for commercial and industrial consumers in the state, generating 248 million green kWh annually, as per the company's statement.
This significant development allows industries across Maharashtra to access cleaner energy sources, potentially reducing carbon dioxide emissions by over 238,576 tonnes each year. With this project, Gentari's total capacity for the commercial and industrial sector in Maharashtra now surpasses 225 MW.
'Maharashtra's commercial and industrial consumers are increasingly pivoting towards clean energy,' noted Sharad Pungalia, Country Head, India, Gentari. 'This project not only supports that shift but provides reliable solar power at scale, unlocking environmental and operational value.'
